Where did July go????

Where did July go! It seems we just arrived in Washington state, yet it’s been a full month of full time living full of fun! All four Grands have had their turn spending a few nights with us and wearing us out!  Biking, hiking, swimming, jet skiing, and learning new skills! Next month we will take them “real” camping in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest on Mt. Rainier!

Colton
Meet Colton, the oldest grandchild and wise beyond his years. This polite, helpful, kind young man makes our hearts soar! He is inquisitive, loves math and music, and has a great sense of humor!
Evan
This is Evan, the problem solver and master of finding lost things! I think he has his Papa John’s engineering brain. He loves soccer and can’t wait to compete again soon. Meanwhile, he stays busy running circles around me!! 🙂
Katy
Katy Joy! What a Joy she is! Her positive attitude and loving nature is contagious. She loves everything!
My teacher friends would all want her in their classroom! Papa John calls her”Smiley!” Can you see why! 🙂
Delaney
Last, but certainly not least, this little spit fire is Delaney or D-bop! My little Lorax loves trees, bugs, owls, horses, and turtles. She amazes and amuses me. We have fun making up silly songs and just being silly! Two peas in a pod!
Brittany
The Grand kids aren’t the only ones who had a sleep over!
Adult beverages, a yummy steak dinner, creek side entertainment, followed by singing hilarious songs…
Daddy-Daughter night was a blast!
PS… check out Old McDonald’s Deformed Farm by Seamus Kennedy 🙂

Perfect Weather Perfect Place

It doesn’t get much better than this! Sunny skies with highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. It makes for the perfect day to explore the forests and tide pools of the Pacific Northwest (PNW). This Earth Mother is in heaven! 🙂

The PNW
From the lush forests with mountain cooled rivers to the majestic Mount Rainier the beauty of the Pacific Northwest is astounding. The views never get old!

Home Sweet Home

Our RV Park is in small little town called South Prairie where I have discovered a delightful coffee shop, a great walking/biking trail, and a fun little creek.

Never Ending Projects

John worried he would be bored in retirement and full time RVing. HAHA!! In our first week a water leak was discovered in one of the storage bays. After chasing that problem for several days and many trips to the local hardware stores, he organized the mess of hoses and created more storage. He’s fine tuned our bank of batteries for solar power and built a travel stand for our new grill.  AND on top of all that he’s helping put a new roof on his sister’s lake house!

John's Projects
John should retire!! LOL

Final Thoughts

Well, as you can see we are LOVING our time with family. There’s lots to “go, see, do.” Unfortunately, COVID prevents us from visiting the museums and zoos. Fortunately, nature doesn’t close! We maintain our distance with other nature lovers and enjoy the beauty that is the PNW!

Until next time…Stay Safe! Stay Sane! And Stay in Touch!

We hope to get out to the coast before we leave. It might just be a daytrip!
